Position

As part of the Group Production team, you will be responsible for managing the production planning of titles developed in Japan and/or the US: from concept to release and post-launch. You will drive different aspects of a project, working closely with a variety of teams, ensuring expected quality, budget and schedule requirements are met.


You will perform the following tasks, including but not limited to:


  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules in collaboration with the internal and external teams (localisation, QA, marketing, digital, certification, manufacturing, printed materials, etc.)
  • Perform game checks, flagging any ethical/cultural risks as well as any quality concerns; propose suggestions on how to implement improvements
  • Provide gameplay feedback on key milestones and ensure quality targets are met; escalate risks and concerns Liaise with different departments (Production Services, Marketing, Digital, etc.) to facilitate communication and share project status throughout the project’s lifecycle
  • Create and update project documentation promptly
  • Proactively and continuously identify risks and their impact on projects to ensure budget, quality and schedule scopes are respected
  • Coordinate the build process and delivery of versions to QA, Localisation, PR and rating agencies
  • Handle EMEA ratings and questionnaires in coordination with QA and local offices
  • Support marketing and sales team’s efforts to demo the game to internal and external teams, press, etc.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on project’s status, as needed or requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor's to Master’s degree in gaming-related project management, game design, or videogame production
  • At least 2-3 years of gaming industry experience, preferably including previous experience as a Producer or Associate Producer
  • Experience coordinating product development efforts with functional teams, such as Engineering, Localisation, Printed Materials, Quality Assurance, Public Relations, Sales, and Marketing, throughout a complete production cycle and across multiple studios
  • Adequate knowledge of the various technologies used in the video games development
  • Excellent knowledge of product development and production cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of consoles, PC, video games genres and their market
  • Strong project management practices and software including Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Confluence and Jira knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to make presentations
  • Interest/knowledge of Japanese culture is a plus
  • Excellent prioritization skills, especially handling several projects in a high-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task between several projects
  • Strong analytic and debriefing skills in order to identify and describe issues clearly and simply
  • Adaptive and flexible to accommodate workload changes throughout the year
  • Curious, open-minded and willing to learn
  • Very strong team spirit and teamwork
  • Great communication and reporting skills, capacity to gauge when an issue needs to be escalated
