Position

Within the Business Intelligence department of the EMEA Headquarters and reporting to the Business & Product Analyst, you will assist in performing market and product analysis to aid the company’s portfolio planning.

In order to carry out your missions you will work collaboratively with diverse Bandai Namco teams, such as Product and Brand Management, Game Evaluation Service and Business Development.


Your principal responsibilities will be as follows (non-exhaustive list):


  • Undertake a project analysing the various trends within the gaming industry and provide applicable insights to the Business & Product Analyst
  • Support the Business & Product Analyst in estimating the sales success of new and existing game opportunities, based on our data sources and your market knowledge
  • Propose improvements to the current methodologies used for forecasting and product analysis

This internship will allow you to have experience in business or data analytics in the gaming industry.

Requirements

  • Currently studying for a master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics or Statistics
  • A first internship in data and business analysis would be appreciated
  • A first experience in the entertainment industry is a plus
  • Highly analytical mind-set with high attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Skills in Python, and a data visualisation tool such as PowerBI or Tableau would be appreciated
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral
  • French is a plus
  • A good understanding of the video games industry is required
  • Curious, open-minded and motivated to learn new things
  • Rigour and discretion are required as you will handle confidential information
  • Ability to present your arguments and analysis
  • Communication skills
  • Proactivity to suggest improvements
  • Capacity for adaptation

Additional information

Location: 15 rue Félix Mangini, 69009 LYON (this position is not eligible to full-remote working)

Contract: full-time internship for 6 months (no work-study program)

Start date: July 2023

Remuneration: dependent on degree level (from €900 up to €1,100 per month)

The above information about the users will be deleted, but logs and other user demographic and statistical information could be kept, maintaining an archived copy of these information anonymously.
