Summary/Objective

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to safely install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft support, production, and facility equipment according to predictive and productive maintenance processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.


Essential Functions

  1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain aerospace ground equipment, production machines, jigs, tools and the plant facility’s equipment such as overhead cranes in an aeronautical environment,
  2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production support equipment,
  3. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production support equipment during ongoing operations and use of such equipment,
  4. Perform technical skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrument troubleshooting and repair,
  5. Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings and work orders to perform required maintenance and service,
  6. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments,
  7. Use a variety of hand and power tools, multi-meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties,
  8. Detect and document faulty operations, defective materials, and report such defects and any unusual situations to proper supervision using the “Intervention Sheet” form,
  9. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type /Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 06:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Employee should be also available for overtime based on workload and for on call duty services. Additional changes to shift may be required to suit needs of our client.


Travel

No travel is expected for this position.



Profil

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma /GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  2. 5 to 10 years of relevant maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills with some PLC experience, overhead cranes and HVAC.
  3. Experience communicating effectively with clients and coworkers in challenging or adverse environments.
